{"id":105,"date":"2018-09-04T01:29:28","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T01:29:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2019.penguicon.org\/?page_id=105"},"modified":"2019-01-28T16:41:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-28T16:41:46","slug":"join-our-staff","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/2019.penguicon.org\/?page_id=105","title":{"rendered":"Join our Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in a staff position please email conchair19@penguicon.org.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">Programming Schedule Master<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; (Position filled on 1\/17\/2019)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Main contact and master for Sched, our online event database<\/li>\n<li>Schedule conflict resolution &#8211; presenters, room requirements (size and A\/V, nearby volume concerns, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Create fold-out pocket guide<\/li>\n<li>Create printed schedule booklet via exporting Sched<\/li>\n<li>Work with Communications to present the list of events and the schedule on the Penguicon web site.<\/li>\n<li>Creates the google form to capture all of the programming suggestions<\/li>\n<li>Attends the Programming Scheduling meeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Programming Content Liaison<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in curating all programming with track heads<\/li>\n<li>Follow up with track heads to ensure that all suggestions are followed up with and no personal preferences stand in the way of valuable content<\/li>\n<li>Provide suggestions for featured guests<\/li>\n<li>Each track should have at least one featured guest if possible.<\/li>\n<li>Create small gift bags for featured guests-a few pieces of swag<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that each featured guest has an image and bio that is sent to the Communication head for promotion<\/li>\n<li>Co-Host programming meetings<\/li>\n<li>Help edit panel descriptions and refine titles for programming books, with any meaningful changes (beyond copy editing) going to presenters ahead of printing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Roving Ops<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ops eyes in the field<\/li>\n<li>Specifically on floors where there isn\u2019t representation for ops<\/li>\n<li>Checks on parties to ensure compliance prior to opening (suggest changes to ensure compliance but leave enforcement to Ops or Hotel ConCom)<\/li>\n<li>Checks throughout party times to ensure compliance<\/li>\n<li>Roves halls during party times to help limit consent issues<\/li>\n<li>Penguipit escorts<\/li>\n<li>Should have Radio<\/li>\n<li>Trained in conflict resolution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in a staff position please email conchair19@penguicon.org.
